Sundark & Riverlight tour, Boston stop
Hi all,
I don't have the nicest camera, so I was very surprised and pleased at how some of my photos of Patrick during his Boston show this past Saturday turned out, particularly this one:

He was playing with his necklaces while telling the story behind "Pelicans." :) The rest of the photos are here, if you'd like to see.

Here's the setlist he played (but which he also kept forgetting and having to ask his violinist to remind him of):

Overture
Armistice
The Hazelwood
House
Bermondsey Street
London
Vulture
Tristan
Oblivion
Bitten (dedicated to Amy Winehouse)
Teignmouth
Hard Times
Pelicans
The Magic Position

Encore:
Trust
The City

This was my first time getting to see him live, so I felt very lucky getting to see an all-acoustic show - it was a very intimate and reflective experience. I do hope that some of you are getting to see other stops on the tour!

Also, there's a nice new interview at Out.com about the album. Enjoy!

Saw him in Philly with lunasol and I had a great time! I'm glad you were able to see him in Boston and I hope you got to meet him! Philly was a small show so we were able to stand in line after the show and get autographs and photos. I snagged the playbill from the venue window before the concert (our awesome server took it out of the window for me in the upstairs cafe) and I had him sign that then got the best picture ever. :3

eta: wow! I just realized that this post is from September but it only JUST showed up in my f-list today, sandwiched between the November posts. Did this happen to anyone else? Another post from this comm just showed up on my f-list at the same time.

Sadly, he had to get ready to drive to the next leg of the tour (Montreal - must have been a grueling haul), so he didn't come out after the Boston show. So I have my fingers crossed that he'll tour again soon. (I had wanted to ask him whether he'd ever cover Sinead O'Connor's "The Wolf is Getting Married.") I did get one of the little signed LP's that he was burning at each stop of the tour, though. I'm happy that you were able to meet him - hurrah for the photo, especially!

I think the comm moderator was busy or away, because my post was in the moderation queue up until now.
